Early life
Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire. Her mother, Stacy (née Friedman), is a former news reporter who once worked for the Orlando Sentinel, and her father, Donald "Don" Moore, is a pilot for American Airlines. Moore's father is of Irish and Cherokee descent, and her mother is of half English and half Jewish ancestry. Moore, who has two brothers, Scott and Kyle, grew up in Longwood, Florida, outside of Orlando, where the family moved shortly after her birth because of her father's job as an airline pilot. She was raised Catholic (though she is no longer practicing), and attended Bishop Moore High School, a Catholic school in Orlando, as well as Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs.
Moore's interest in singing grew after seeing the musical Oklahoma! She was also encouraged to perform by her English-born maternal grandmother, who was her inspiration. Some of Moore's first public exposure occurred when she sang the national anthem at several Florida sporting events. She subsequently came to the attention of the head of the artists and repertoire department at Epic Records after his friend, a FedEx employee, overheard her as she sang at a recording studio.

So Real
Moore toured with the Backstreet Boys throughout 1999. Her debut album, So Real, was released in December 1999 and reached #31 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts.Unfortunately for her image, at the time of the album's release, reviewers considered Moore the latest in a series of heavily-marketed female teen singers described as "pop princesses," akin to Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson. Entertainment Weekly Magazine's review of So Real, written by Elizabeth Vincentelli, accused Moore's songs of revolving around "not-yet-experienced love," of having been performed with "suffocating professionalism," and called the album's ballads "nauseating."
Moore reached mainstream radio later, and at a younger age, than Simpson, Aguilera and Spears had, and she was initially not as successful as they were, although So Real was certified platinum in the U.S. in early 2000 and sold nearly one million copies.Moore's debut teen-oriented pop hit single "Candy," which Yahoo! Movies described as "strangely provocative," peaked just outside the top 40 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts, and was certified gold. The single was more successful in Europe, especially in the UK, where it reached number 6. Allmusic called the single "mediocre" and "typical," containing lyrics that described love "in terms of sugar treats.

Lingerie as Outerwear: Vamping It Up For The Holidays

I think it’s safe to say that Old Man Winter has settled in to stay. My cheeks are chilly, my nose is red and I was eyeing my padded bras as potential earmuffs this morning. Don’t worry; I decided against that desperate move, after all, I can’t very well blog about tastefully incorporating lingerie as outerwear here, while leaving the house like that. I have so many holiday parties coming up over the next few weekends and am in full-on dress-up mode! But the problem with having to attend so many events is that you can begin to run out of different clothing options. So for today’s outfit, I decided to see how I could combine separates for a spectacularly dramatic look. It would be easy to go with a tried and true little black dress and look like everyone else, but I want a punch of color to help me stand out from the sheeple. Nicole Gill’s Elena corset is the perfect choice. The black lace, faux waspie embellishment around the waist will keep the boudoir foremost in everyone’s mind, w

Lingerie as Outerwear: The Strappy Look

Happy New Year! Who doesn’t love a little zing and bling to ring in the New Year? After an incredibly long season of dressing up, sequins and glamour, I have been yearning to create a slightly more hip and fun look. Something that would really let you show off your fabulous taste in lingerie, in a new and unexpected way. Basic black is too easy to sneak into your wardrobe, let’s really take on the challenge this time! For today’s fabulous Lingerie as Outerwear inspiration, I decided to find a lingerie set that is super colourful and a bit bold and what better set to begin with than Rebecca Ansah 's beautiful strappy, blue, Mathilda bandeau bra and Zuri silk and elastic briefs. The bandeau-style bra has plenty of coverage and can be worn alone, if you’re the daring type (and don’t live in a snow covered area as I do), or can act as a crop top and draw the eyes to all of those amazing straps above and below. The supple silk will feel extraordinary, while the mesh and elastic provide
